What Is Breastfeeding Month?

Every year in August, the world observes Breastfeeding Month. The goal of this month-long campaign is to increase public awareness of the many advantages of breastfeeding, including supplying a child with the nutrients he or she needs for healthy growth and development, lowering the risk of certain illnesses for both mother and child, and promoting a stronger relationship between the two.
This occasion also brings to light the difficulties that breastfeeding mothers may encounter, such as a lack of encouragement from their families, health care providers, or places of employment. More babies can have the best start in life by spreading awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding and encouraging mothers who choose to do so.
